In this Privacy Notice (Privacy Notice), we explain how we collect and process your personal data when you visit the website operated by andworks (Website), access and use the TranslatorApp, use our product specific social media company pages or contact us regarding the TranslatorApp. For general inquiries and our https://www.andworks.ch website our general Privacy Notice applies.

Controller of the data processing

andworks is the controller of the data processing described in this Privacy Notice, except in regard to Customer content within the TranslatorApp. In this regard andworks acts as a processor (see below and in the ToU). Personal data we process in order to respond to your inquiries and to inform about our TranslatorApp

We collect the information you provide us, when you use the contact form on the Website, schedule a demo of the TranslatorApp, register for our webinars, events or newsletters, download our whitepapers or inquire about our services (e.g. via contact form, email or telephone).

In order to respond to your inquiries, we routinely require general personal data such as your first name, last name, email address and telephone number, as well as information about your position or role at the organization on whose behalf you are contacting us.

We also process personal data that we receive from third parties. This regularly includes personal data that we receive in correspondence or in meetings with customers or business partners, e.g. your name and details of your activity as an employee of the customer or business partner.

To the extent necessary to achieve the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, we also collect personal data from publicly accessible registers, Websites or platforms (e.g. to verify your authori-zation to sign) or by obtaining information from third parties.

Making available and using our Website

Informative use

You can visit the Website and find out about our services without telling us who you are. As with any connection to a web server, the server on which we provide the Website automatically logs and stores certain technical data. This includes the IP address, the date and time of access and other information that your browser sends when you access a website (e.g. browser name and version, operating system, preferred language).

Web analysis

We use web analysis services to evaluate the use of the Website and to obtain information for its optimization.

We want to process as little personal information as possible when you use our website. That's why we've chosen Fathom Analytics for our website analytics, which doesn't use cookies and compliance with applicable laws. Using this privacy-friendly website analytics software, your IP address is only briefly processed, and we (running this website) have no way of identifying you. The purpose of us using this software is to understand our website traffic in the most privacy-friendly way possible so that we can continually improve our website and business.

Personal data we collect and process in order to allow access to and use of TranslatorApp

TranslatorApp is a Software as a Service (SaaS) Solution that allows you to automatically machine translate your Akeneo product information.

We collect and process the following types of personal data in order to allow access to and use of TranslatorApp:

  • Registration and user profile: The access and use of TranslatorApp requires prior registration. In the registration process, we will ask you to provide personal data such as your name, business email address, and the name and address of the company you work for or represent. We will also store your IP ad-dress.
  • Subscription: If you purchase a subscription for the Standard Plan (or any other paid plan) we will collect and process personal data to provide and store the necessary billing information. The payment is completed through a third party payment provider. The third party payment provider’s privacy policy applies.
  • Content translations: andworks will only store your content on its servers to the extent technically required to provide its services. Content will not be perpetually stored on andworks servers. The run-logs containing the translated content transmitted to the Akeneo PIM are retained for 30 days. Customer Training Data is stored on andworks' servers and can be sent to subcontractors to offer our service. For the avoidance of doubt, andworks shall be entitled to create and retain access logs for billing, security and statistical purposes. Such access logs shall not contain any Customer content. If you use the glossary feature and enters certain pairs of terms there, this data is stored on andwork’s servers and forwarded to the subcontractors in order to use in new translations.
  • Prohibited Content: Please note that you are not allowed not use the TranslatorApp for the translation of content containing personal data or confidential information of any kind. Therefore, we do not process personal data when you share content with us.

Use of our social media company pages

Our Website uses the logos of social media services to link to our company pages on the respective social media. On the company pages, you will find posts on current developments at andworks and our range of services.

The providers of the respective social media services collect and analyze usage data such as the number of visitors and demographic information about the visitors of our company page. We receive reports based on this data. The reports only contain aggregated or otherwise sufficiently anonymized data. Only the providers of the respective social network can identify you on the basis of the usage data collected.

Your choices regarding cookies

We use cookies, tags and similar technologies on the Website to provide you with the best possible user experience and to help us improve the Website.

The cookies we use are necessary in order to make available certain features of the Website; for example, the implementation of user recognition.

Use and optimization of our newsletter

We process your personal data primarily in order to inform you about our services and to provide and document our services in accordance with our contractual (e.g., access to the TranslatorApp) and legal obligations to you or your organization.

  • processing registrations for events and webinars
  • organizing, preparing, managing and carrying out events
  • marketing and advertising
  • providing and optimizing our posts on our social media company pages
  • informing you about our services, events and new developments in regard to the TranslatorApp (whereby you may at any time notify us that you do not wish to receive such information in the future)
  • complying with regulatory obligations
  • complying with legal obligations and enforcing legal claims.

We and our business partners or other third parties have a legitimate interest in the data processing described here that corresponds to the mentioned purposes. Some processing is also necessary for us to comply with contractual obligations to you or with our legal obligations (e.g. data retention obligations or regulatory compliance).
